Bronzeville Film Festival

· Film screenings: A selection of movies and documentaries by Black filmmakers that document and celebrate their struggles and triumphs.
· Film workshops and symposiums: Seminars by directors, screenwriters, and production professionals will discuss the art of filmmaking and the business of production with aspiring and established filmmakers.
· Outdoor Film Screening: Combines the joy of the old drive-in theaters with a starlit picnic in the park as film fans enjoy films alfresco on a blanket or lawn chair.
· Actor’s Boot Camp: From scene studies and cold readings to developing your best head shots and resume. This intense boot camp will help catapult the performers from amateur to career professional.
· Shoot a Movie In Two Days - The Bronzefest Mini Filmmaker Project. This adrenalin filled weekend of ultimate gorilla filmmaking and sleepless nights puts the emerging and veteran filmmakers together as they team up to make a movie - write, shoot, edit and score it—in less than two days. First night, you get an overview with a list of rules and two days later, the movie must be complete. Then it will show at a the festival in June. Teams sign up in March 2010.
Bronzeville Book Fair
· Outdoor Book Fair: Authors, book retailers and publishers from all over the nation will bring an exciting variety of books and magazines for exhibition and sale to promote and celebrate literacy in the Black community.
· Writing Workshops: Seminars by authors, creative writing teachers and publishing professionals will give emerging and established talents ideas and guidance to foster a continuing rich literary tradition.
· Writers & Poets Showcase (Spoken Word): Celebrity and local authors and poets will have the opportunity to meet readers, discuss their work, and sign books to promote a greater connection between writers and readers.
· Storytellers Children's Showcase: Narrations of stories and folk tales from the Diaspora for children will celebrate a rich oral tradition and provide enjoyment for all ages.
· Literary Contest: High school students will have the opportunity to participate in a writing contest where their work will be judged by noted authors and industry professionals. A scholarship prize will be awarded.

“Star-studded” Bronzeville Film Festival GALA
· Live performances of local musicians: singers and musicians from various styles of music will perform at receptions and the gala.
· Award ceremony for filmmakers, honorees and other participants. Star-studded event with full reception and bar.
· Showcasing highlights of the festival and “star-studded” gala from last year.
· Fine arts display
